The newsletter of the wine grower
La lettre du Vigneron - Spring 2005
Integrated culture ... quite naturally
The traditional date of the wine-grower’s newsletter gives us the great opportunity to meet you.
We are glad to share the life of our House with you and to disclose again a few secrets which make your Champagne wines quite different.
Firstly, we have a word with you about the launch of the Champagne Volupté last November.
Your laudatory comments and warm tokens during exhibitions and cellar visits are the reflection of what we have expected : satisfy your enthusiasm.
So, from next October, we will continue harmonization of the visual show of our range of Champagnes for the Cuvée de Réserve, the Cuvée Sélectionnée and Demi-Sec.
You’ll have to wait a few months before discovering the new range of René Geoffroy Champagnes, which we have elaborated according to our principles of clearness, truth and natural expressions.
These principles and the respect of them are also the main words of the culture of our vineyard.
Nowadays, we wonder about future generations. So, we are proud of having practiced for more than twenty years integrated pest control to preserve two main elements of life : the Earth and Water.
It is a wine growing method based on environment-friendly techniques and expression of the soul of the terroir. You will find a few significant examples of this method.
We learn and build with the terroir, humbly, through perseverance, experience, observation and daily work.
This work is guided by our philosophy of respect for plant, for the environment, for men and above all for the future generations who will live on this planet.
To illustrate our way the quotation of the writer : “We aren’t owners of the planet on which we live but we borrow it from our children.”
Have a good reading and see you soon
